ASPARTAME - THE SILENT KILLER

For those who take Ricola & Fisherman , please note that they both contain Aspartame - the silent killer.

We used to buy this silent poison...I had actually stopped since last April. I was shocked when I was stopped at the metal detection at Changi Airport (Japan Trip) due to this sweet...reason given by security officer, it contains "lead".

This website shows the adverse effects of ASPARTAME....... http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/aspartame.html

Fisherman Sweets

FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO EAT FISHERMAN SWEETS BE CAREFUL. Sugar free products contain ASPARTAME ..

So don't consume Sugar free product esp. 'fisherman sweets'

ASPARTAME - THE SILENT KILLER (by Ron Harder)

To those who prefer to consume artificial flavouring.........

There is an epidemic across North America today of Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus. Most people do not understand why this epidemic is happening, and they do not know why these diseases are so rampant.

I would like to share with you the main reason we are having this very serious problem.

Many people today use artificial sweeteners in their tea or coffee.

They do this because the ads they see on TV tell them that sugar is bad for their health. This is absolutely true. Sugar is toxic to us , but what most people use as a replacement for sugar is much more deadly.

I am talking about ASPARTAME. It is the cause of the epidemic that was mentioned above. ASPARTAME is an extremely toxic chemical that is produced by a chemical company called Monsanto.

ASPARTAME is being marketed around the world as a sugar substitute and is found in all diet soft drinks, such as Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. It is also found in artificial sweeteners such as NutraSweet, Equal, and Spoonful; and it is used in many other products as a sugar replacement.

ASPARTAME is marketed as a diet product, but it is not a diet product at all.

In fact, it will cause you to GAIN weight because it makes you crave carbohydrates. Causing you to gain weight is only a very small part of what ASPARTAME does.

It is a toxic chemical that changes the brain's chemistry. It can and does cause severe seizures.

This chemical changes the dopamine level in the brain , and it is particularly deadly for anyone suffering from Parkinson's disease.

ASPARTAME is extremely poisonous, and here is why one of the toxic ingredients of it is wood alcohol. When the temperature of ASPARTAME exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in it is converted to Formaldehyde, and then to formic acid, which in turn causes folic acidosis.

FORMALDEHYDE is grouped in the same class of poisons as Cyanide and Arsenic which are very deadly toxins. The only difference is, Formaldehyde kills quietly, and it takes a little longer. And, in the process of killing people, it causes all kinds of neurological problems. There are 92 documented symptoms of Aspartame Poisoning leading to coma and death.

The majority of these symptoms are neurological, because the

ASPARTAME attacks and destroys the nervous system.

One of these symptoms is Lupus, which has become almost as rampant as Multiple Sclerosis, especially with Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers.

MEDICINES Too Costly, Too Scarce

drug recalls

THERE was a short debate is early May 2006 on medicines being sold at exorbitant prices. A leading English daily reported some finding of a survey on medicine price in this country and noted that doctors were charging high price for some common but essential medicines.

Despite the fact that this was an important issue, the debate was short lived, giving rise to the conclusion, albeit erroneous, that Malaysian were either unaware of the high cost of medicines or that they believe that they were not being shortchanged. One has to consider this in the light of the prevailing healthcare system practiced here.

In this country, healthcare is highly subsidized. In fact, the public sector handle about 80% of all in-patients and the charges in this sector are very minimal and non-payment doesn’t preclude one from treatment. In most cases, recovery of payment is an onerous task. In the private sector, healthcare payment are either through private insurance or subsidised by the company. There is also social security health coverage in case of accidents, illnesses or disabilities sustained at the workplace. Government servants and those working for statutory bodies get free treatment in the public sector and is the services are unavailable in the public sector than their employers cover the costs in the private sector.

Out-of-pocket payment is the norm among the self-employed and those who opt for private treatment on an outpatient basis. There are some who still pay out-of-pocket for in-patient treatment and most often they are affluent.

In short, because of the subsidies, Malaysians are not only complacent but also not sufficiently sensitised to high drug price.

CANCER-CAUSING CHEMICALS

PREFACE

As Malaysians grow more affluent and as our society modernizes in the mould of Western societies, Malaysians and humankind are faced with two menacing problems - an increase in the use of dangerous toxic chemicals in our daily lives and a corresponding increase in cancers to epidemic levels. Cancer has become a leading cause of illness and death in Malaysia. In 1970, the reported number of cases was 6,254. In 1996, 37,294 cases were reported - an increase of 496%!
For first time in Malaysia, and probably around the world, a groundbreaking study to reveal cancer-causing chemicals in different ranger of products for another 1 ½ years. The survey ended in June 2000.

CHEMICALS DEADLIER THAN RADIATION

All these harmful chemicals found in our everyday product – combined with the pollution of our air and water, consumption of cancer-causing drugs and food additives, and exposure to dangerous chemicals on the job and in the home – increases our risk of getting cancer.

According to reports, chemical carcinogens are probably responsible for more cancer than radiation is.

As with radiation, no level of exposure to these substances can be considered safe. Any exposure might initiate the process of malignant transformation or promote one that has already begun.

Also every exposure adds to the burden on the body’s systems of defence against malignancy. (Even when chemicals do not directly cause cancer, they may do so indirectly by adding to the cumulative stress on our immune systems.) Breakdown of those defences is the crucial event in the development of cancer.

Some of the information on such damaging chemicals has been available for several years – and in the case of NDELA, decades (!) – but is not widely known because it has not been publicised outside the medical community.

According to estimates, it can take up to 20 years for scientific health information to become general knowledge. But you don’t have to wait till 2020 to find out what cancer-causing ingredients are in your cosmetics.
